This policy explains what personal information SEALED® collects when you visit sealedclothing.co.uk, sign up to hear from us or place an order, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have. SEALED is a UK sole trader business and is the controller of your personal information. If you have any questions, email hello@sealedclothing.co.uk.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number (if given) and what you bought.
- Payment details: handled securely by Shopify Payments and other payment providers. We never see or store your full card details.
- Email and SMS sign-ups: your email address or phone number and your marketing preferences.
- Reviews and messages: anything you choose to send us, such as a product review, a competition entry or an email.
- Browsing information: your device, browser, approximate location, the pages you view and items you add to your cart, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To take payment, make and deliver your order and handle any problems with it (to perform our contract with you).
- To keep records for tax and accounting (legal obligation).
- To send emails about new drops, offers and reminders such as a basket you left behind (your consent, or for existing customers our legitimate interest in telling you about similar products). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To understand how the site is used, improve it and measure our marketing, including showing SEALED ads to people who have visited the site (your consent, where cookies are involved).
- To prevent fraud and keep the store secure (legitimate interests).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run SEALED, and only as much as they need:
- Shopify: our store platform and checkout.
- Printful: makes and dispatches your order from its UK fulfilment centre, and passes your address to the courier.
- Klaviyo: sends our emails and texts and collects product reviews.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): measures and shows our ads, through the Meta pixel.
- Google: Google Analytics, to understand site visits, and Google's shopping and advertising services.
- Professional advisers and authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK, mainly in the USA and Canada. Where your information is transferred abroad, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to make the site and checkout work, and analytics and advertising cookies (from Shopify, Google and Meta) to understand visits and measure our marketing. Where a cookie banner is shown you can choose which non-essential cookies to allow, and you can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for six years to meet UK tax rules. We keep your marketing details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Browsing data is kept for no longer than the analytics and advertising services need, usually up to 26 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. To make a request, email hello@sealedclothing.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Children
Our store is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
